Measurely

About Measurely

Measurely is a collection of free construction calculators built for people who would rather measure twice and order once. Every tool solves one specific job-site math problem — how many cubic yards of concrete a slab needs, how many gallons of paint a room takes, what size air conditioner a space calls for — and shows its work so you can trust the number.

We launched with construction because that is where a wrong number costs real money: a short concrete truck, a second trip to the lumber yard, a heater that cannot keep up in January. Academic and ecommerce calculators are planned for the future, and they will only go live when they meet the same standard.

How the tools are built

Real math, tested

Every calculator runs on an independent calculation module with hand-verified test vectors — arithmetic checked by a human, then re-checked by automated tests on every change.

Assumptions stated

Waste factors, bag yields, and coverage rates are industry rules of thumb, and each tool page says so. If a number is an estimate, it is labeled an estimate.

Imperial + metric

All measurable inputs accept both systems. Type in feet, inches, meters, or centimeters — the math normalizes everything before calculating.

An honest limitation

Measurely results are planning estimates, not professional advice. They are excellent for budgeting, comparing options, and ordering materials — but structural work, HVAC sizing, stair geometry, and roofing all involve building codes that vary by location. Always have a licensed professional verify anything that affects safety or code compliance. Read the full disclaimer.
