Palworld Breeding Calculator

This free Palworld breeding calculator covers all 299 Pals from the Palworld 1.0 breeding dataset. Pick two parents and it returns their child — special combos first (including the gender-dependent Katress + Wixen pair), otherwise the CombiRank averaging formula. Pick a target Pal instead and it lists every parent pair that produces it, with genders shown where they matter. No sign-up, no download — everything runs in your browser.

Breeding data: the Palworld 1.0 dataset from palworldonline.net (data updated 2026-07-14). Results may differ after future game patches. No official artwork or game text is used here.

297 Pals can enter a Breeding Farm. Panthalus and Astralym cannot.

Parent order does not matter — except for gender, see below.

Katress Ignis

CombiRank 1800Special comboThis pair has a fixed special-combo child.

How it works

Special combos win. If the parent pair matches one of the 164 special-combo rows, the child is fixed: for example, Relaxaurus + Sparkit always hatches Relaxaurus Lux, and Mossanda + Grizzbolt always hatches Mossanda Lux. The one gender-dependent pair is Katress + Wixen: a female Katress with a male Wixen hatches Katress Ignis, while a male Katress with a female Wixen hatches Wixen Noct.

Otherwise the formula applies: average the two parents' CombiRanks, round up, and take the closest Pal in the ordinary formula pool (the 183 Pals that are not special-only). Penking (2070) + Bushi (1560) averages 1815, and the closest pool Pal is Sibelyx (1810). Exact ties go to the higher rank — verified against the source dataset: replaying every farm-eligible pair reproduces the source's parent-pair count for all 299 Pals exactly.

Two Pals cannot enter a Breeding Farm at all — Panthalus and Astralym — so they can never be parents and never appear as children here, even though the game files list self-pair rows for them.

Worked examples

The gender-dependent pair

Katress + Wixen is the only pair where gender changes the answer. Female Katress + male Wixen hatches Katress Ignis (CombiRank 1800); swap the genders and the same two parents hatch Wixen Noct (CombiRank 1490) instead. Every other pair ignores gender entirely.

A formula example

Penking (CombiRank 2070) + Bushi (1560) averages 1815. The closest Pal in the ordinary formula pool is Sibelyx (1810) — Katress Ignis (1800) and Xenovader (1820) are closer on paper but are special-only, so the formula never reaches them. The result is Sibelyx.

How to use

  • Forward lookup: type or pick two parent Pals, set their genders, and read the child. Only Katress + Wixen cares about gender — for every other pair you can leave the defaults.
  • Reverse lookup: pick a target Pal to see every parent pair that hatches it, including pairs that use the target itself (like Bellanoir + Bellanoir Libero → Bellanoir) and self-pairs (like Jetragon + Jetragon → Jetragon).
  • Use the search box in each picker to filter the 297 farm-eligible Pals by name — you do not need to scroll the full list.
  • In reverse results, use the "only pairs using" filter to narrow a long list (some Pals have over 1,000 parent pairs) down to pairs containing a Pal you already own.

Assumptions & limitations

Frequently asked questions

Put two Pals in a Breeding Farm and they hatch an egg. If the pair matches a special combo, the child is fixed. Otherwise the game averages the parents' CombiRanks and gives the closest Pal in the ordinary pool. This calculator replays exactly that logic for all 299 Pals.

It is the only gender-dependent combo in the dataset. A female Katress with a male Wixen hatches Katress Ignis; a male Katress with a female Wixen hatches Wixen Noct. Set the genders in the calculator to see the child you want.

They cannot enter a Breeding Farm in the game, even though the game files list self-pair rows for them. The calculator excludes them from parents and children for that reason.

The evaluator was verified by replaying every farm-eligible pair and comparing the resulting parent-pair counts against the source dataset's own counts — all 299 Pals match exactly. The three worked examples (Penking + Bushi → Sibelyx, Vanwyrm + Anubis → Reptyro, Lamball + Foxparks → Lifmunk) were also cross-checked against published calculators.

Yes in the game, but this tool does not model passives, IVs or traits — it answers which species hatches. Passive inheritance is a planned future addition, not part of this version.
